Getting Started is easy. Follow these simple steps.
1. Move all the files to the directory where you wish to keep SatTrack.
2. IF you don't have the file "iff.library" in your LIBS: directory:
a. Extract the file IFFLIB20.LZH to a directory.
b. Copy the file "iff.library" in the file you just extracted to
the LIBS: directory.
c. If you are a programmer, look at the other files. The public
domain products in this file are of the finest quality.
3. Add an ASSIGN command to your startup specifying either the location
of the SatTrack or any other subdirectory. The ASSIGN is for a
logical "Sat:" Sat: is the a default location for storage of
data files. If you don't create a logical (yet), thats ok,
SatTrack will use the directory that it is "launched" from.
If you create another directory, move the file NASA973A.DAT to
that directory.
4. Launch SatTrack using either the ICON or via CLI. SatTrack opens a
default window in case of errors that cannot be reported via a
window. If SatTrack does not seem to launch for some reason,
use CLI and type :
SatTrack >ram:problem
Read the file for an error message, it should give you some
indication of the problem and how to fix it. SatTrack tries to
give good error information.
5. Unless you have satellite information of your own use the "INPUT KEPS"
command under the PROJECT command (use the right-amiga-I key also)
Read in the file NASA973A.DAT via the file requestor window provided.
6. Use the code, if you have problems, read the SatTrack Reference manual.
7. If you wonder what SatTrack does, read the SatTrack User manual.
8. If you wish to become a registered user, read the REGISTRATION file.
9. If I might ask, please upload the entire SatTrack.lzh file that you have
to some other BBS or give to your friends.
Thanks!
